MEDIA ALERT
New York Hip-hop trio T-Weaponz will appear on Mun2's One Nation Under Hip Hop today, Wednesday, September 10, 2008. The group will discuss the release of their first music video in three years, first full-length album (Just Begun, Defiant Entertainment) and international tour. T-Weaponz's new single and music video "XtraOrdinary" is a sexy track and an ode to the ladies who love hip hop. One Nation Under Hip Hop is hosted by Frankie Needles and airs at 7:00 p.m. EST/PST.
Mun2 is distributed to over 24 million U.S. TV households and is the first-ever Latino youth-oriented cable network to have full subscription to the Nielsen Hispanic Household Index measurement service. The network is part of Telemundo Cable Networks, a division of NBC Universal Cable Networks.
Audiences have been impressed by T-Weaponz's intellectual lyrics, their ability to interweave street scenarios and anecdotes with historical and literary references. From Ark's precise flow to Iz's blunt lyrics and Psalmz's flair for metaphors and wordplay, the MCs have formed a perfect triangle, complementing one another and ushering in a new sound. T-Weaponz appeared on the scene in 2003, with the release of the Alchemist-produced "Raised in the Slums" and the BlackOut EP, followed by the radio smash "Mira Mira" in 2005, the Billboard Top Ten R&B/Hip-Hop single "Dem Boyz" in 2006 and The Underground Music Award for Most Dynamic Group or Duo in 2007.
"We've really been missing the visual element to our music and now with the 'XtraOrdinary' music video and more videos in our back pocket, this is a very exciting time for us," shares Psalmz.
T-Weaponz recently appeared in the pages of The Source Magazine, as well as in the National Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City and Chicago, and on stage at the Calle Ocho Festival in Miami, Florida. They depart to Colombia for shows in Bogota and Medellin this weekend.
