Orientation Moved to Sunday, January 30, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Seattle, WA / January 18, 2011 - The Hispanic Seafair Organization has rescheduled their orientation
from the original date in order to support the memorial service for Kate Donahue and Jesus Sanchez who died as a result of being attacked in Puerto Rico. “Kate and Jesus were dear friends and great people and it’s only right to move the orientation in order to attend and support their memorial service,” says Michelle Font, director of the Miss Hipanic Seafair program.
The orientation will now take place on Sunday, January 30, 2011, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Univision
Television Seattle, located in Fischer Plaza at 140 Fourth Avenue, in the Forum.
About Hispanic Seafair Organization
The Hispanic Seafair Organization (HSO) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the
advancement and education of Hispanic women and representing the Hispanic community during
Seattle's Seafair celebration and throughout the year.
HSO provides college scholarships to qualifying young women, and has celebrated Seafair the Latin way at the annual Hispanic Seafair Festival at Seward Park, since 1980. This year's festival will be held in July 2011 at the Seattle Center. It is a free event, which includes a full day of Latin music, dance, and arts and crafts, and an opportunity to sample diverse regional cuisines.
